Bloom Where You Are Planted

I recently saw this saying and liked it a lot. So, I went to one of my resources for landscapes and found this awesome photo of White Sands National Monument, New Mexico. A caption stated "It isn't sand, really. It's gypsum, pure white, powdery, covering 275 square miles with restless dunes." Statue from a Dover clip art book. Blooms from a gardening book.

    Now this is really lovely: the colors, the composition, amd above all, the peaceful mood. I've always wanted to see White Sands...

      Thanks Fi! I was surprised to know the sands are really gypsum! Making collages is certainly educational.

    Agree with Fi, really lovely and the contrast between flowers and the desert atmosphere is nice, with the cold marble girl somehow embodying both...clever, CC!
